Our Community Centres

Highfield Centre

HighFieldSituated just off the Warrington Road running in to Wigan from the M6, the Highfield Centre is easy to find and perfectly placed for locals or out-of-towners to meet.

A modern building in a quiet location, the Centre offers a large hall for hire as well as office accommodation. The centre is well used by local residents and people from further afield, so perfect if you’re looking for a place to run an event, community activity or away-day.

The hall is to the front of the building and ideal for many different activities – a Pre-School Nursery meet here along with Brownies, Guides, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers. We will set the hall up to meet your requirements, tables and chairs for meetings or training events, empty space for sports, dance groups, parties etc. Our on site staff will make you welcome and help in any way we can. If you’ve got something special in mind, or not sure if the space is right for you, give us a call and we can answer any questions you have.

There is a large kitchen which also includes a small dining area if your group or event needs some extra space. You are welcome to bring your own food or even contact one of our friendly local caterers, we are happy to make recommendations. The kitchen area makes keeping your group refreshed and happy during your time with us simple.

At the rear of the Centre we have some office accommodation available for either long or short term rent, or just a one off. Ideal for other charitable organisations or social enterprises looking for low-rent office space or a hub away from the main office base. Smaller rooms may be suitable for therapists, counseling or advice services.

These rooms can be accessed any time and even come with their own separate kitchen facilities which means even when the centre is in use, you have the privacy and peace needed to go about your business.

It’s important to us that you feel comfortable and welcome when using our space, we have ensured that our building is fully accessible and have installed wi-fi throughout the entire venue to make sure you’re connected wherever you are.

Our community building has on-site parking and is located on a major bus route making it an easy place to commute to. Only 15 minutes from Wigan North Western Train Station it’s a location easy to reach from most North West locations.
